MY STORY

STRATEGY IS MEANINGLESS WITHOUT THE SYSTEMS TO BACK IT UP.

I’ve always been obsessed with how things actually get made. My career started back in Bangor, Maine, in the world of film production. On a film set, you learn really fast that you can have the most beautiful vision in the world, but if the production machine isn’t running perfectly, nothing happens. That 'eye for the engine' stayed with me as I moved to Arizona and eventually founded Gorban Media.

I didn't want to just be another designer making pretty things that sit in a folder. I wanted to build what I call Brand Capital—creative work that actually has the legs to scale a business.

For the last decade, I’ve worked at the intersection of Graphic Design and UX/UI systems. I look at an identity or a digital interface through two lenses: Does it look elite? And more importantly, does it actually function as a system? This hybrid perspective is what led me into Creative Operations. I realized my real value isn’t just in the pixels—it’s in architecting the workflows and design languages that allow teams to move faster and stay consistent.

I’m a Creative Lead who still loves the craft. I’m just as comfortable diving into a complex UI/UX prototype as I am leading a room of stakeholders through a brand audit. To me, leadership is about clearing the path for great work to happen, and that usually starts with a better system.

  • Developed and managed in-store visual systems for 400+ national locations, ensuring rigorous brand consistency across complex retail environments and large-scale print rollouts.
